Obituary

Judith Lisburg, age 70, of Gary, MN, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.

Judy Larson, daughter of Lloyd and Alice (Turner) Larson, was born on March 15, 1943, in Ada, MN. She grew up in the Gary area and graduated from Gary High School in 1961. As a young woman, Judy worked for a time as a secretary then decided to further education. Over several years, she attended St Luke's School of Nursing, NDSU and Interstate Business School. On October 10, 1964, Judy was united in marriage to Albert Lisburg in Gary. They made their home near Gary and farmed together for many years. Judy was very active on the farm. She helped daily with the milking and other chores, all while raising their three children. Albert died in 1993 and Judy remained on the farm. Although now retired, she continued helping her son, Robert, on the farm and tracked the grain markets every day.

Judy's main priority in life was her family. She cherished her grandchildren and when they were young she had the opportunity to provide daycare for them often. She followed their school and sporting events, always cheering them on. Judy loved visiting with family and friends and was always there to give advice to those who would listen. She also enjoyed driving around to look at crops, watching the news, and trips to the casino.

Judy is survived by three children: Susan (Mark) Hanson of Ada, MN, Diane (Tim) Jagol of Fertile, MN, and Robert (Monica) Lisburg of Gary; and seven grandchildren: Cora Hanson, Shantel and Cooper Jagol, and Kelsey, Kyle, Korey, and Kasy Lisburg; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Schenkey; her husband, Albert; and an infant daughter.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Gary Lutheran Church in Gary.

Visitation was held one hour before the funeral on Saturday.
