Obituary

Jordan Matson, age 13, son of Kenneth and Diane Matson of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Monday, April 30, 2007, in his home.

Jordan James Matson was born June 18, 1993, the son of Kenneth and Diane (Dunham) Matson in Fargo, North Dakota. He was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen, Minnesota, where he was a lifetime member. Jordan was raised on the farm south of Twin Valley where he treasured the time he spent with his family, especially when they would take him 4-wheeling. He eagerly attended school at Norman County East High School. The mornings were filled with anticipation for the day to start, as he could answer the joke of the day by pushing the correct button on his wheelchair. Jordan's face lit up at the sounds of morning greetings from teachers and classmates. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time in the swimming pool. Jordan touched many lives will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Diane of Twin Valley, MN; two sisters, Christina (Patrick) Simon of Twin Valley, MN, Brittany Matson and fiancé, Brett Lien at home; grandparents, Jerry and Edith Dunham and Willie and Joyce Matson all of Ulen, MN and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen, Minnesota. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 10:30 AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Visitation will also be one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Officiating will be Pastor John Martinson with Carol Lockhart serving as organist and Rhoda Habedank as vocalist. Pallbearers will be all of his cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Burnside, Tori Spencer, Amy Madson, Cassie Matson, Stacy Hanson, Lorrie Hillstad and the staff at Norman County East High School.

Interment will be in Keene Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hitterdal, Minnesota.
