Obituary

Jordan James Hisgun-Aguilar, age 5, of Mahnomen, MN, died on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home.

Jordan James Hisgun-Aguilar was born on May 3, 2008. He was raised by his mother Aimee Hisgun and father-figure Hector Montoya, along with his sister Gabrielle. Jordan was welcomed by many loving family members and friends who made sure to make him part of their daily lives.

Jordan touched the lives of many with his tremendous strength and perseverance. He overcame many obstacles with his strong spirit. Jordan was a beautiful little boy with long eyelashes and hair that we all wished we had. Even though he had little control of his body, Jordan's bright eyes and genuine smile brought joy to many, as it showed he knew happiness.

Beyond his large loving family, Jordan had a superb medical team that was there for him throughout his life. We are grateful to them for their constant support.
We are forever blessed with the miracle of Jordan.

Jordan is survived by his mother Aimee, father figure Hector, sister Gabrielle, brother Nicholas, grandparents; Dennis (Vernie) Hisgun and Ernest John Aguilar, uncles; D.J., Seth, Lucas, Aaron, Andrew and Mike, aunts; Jackie, DeLinda, Nikki, Sammi and Pam, along with many other family members and friends.

Jordan was preceded by his maternal great grandmother, Delphine "Teta" McArthur, great grandmother Melvina LaBatte, two maternal great grandfathers; Bernard T. McArthur and Jonah T. Hisgun, grandmother, Yvonne "Mickey" Engebretson, and his cousin, Noah Sargent.
