John Paul Melting was born October 13, 1962, at St. Ansgar Hospital. He died Tuesday, November 11, 2025. He is survived by his Uncle Scott Warner, brother Jeremy Melting, sister-in-law Kristi (Holte) Melting, nieces Nora (Gabriel) Rodriguez and Hanna (Brandon) Rademacher, nephew John Samuel Melting, loving cousins, and many friendships. John Paul was preceded in death by his parents John & Janice (Warner) Melting, brother Jay R. Melting, Grandparents John & Nora (Tvedt) Melting and Erwin & Madelyn (Hesby) Warner, Uncles/Aunts David & Jean (Roesch) Melting, Carlton & Ruthie (Nelson) Melting, Archie & Loretta (Melting) Solberg, Henry & Lyla (Melting) Gilbertson, Richard & Marlene (Melting) Bennett, Cactus & Kathy (Lange) Warner, and several loving cousins.

Celebration of Life Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Legion Recreation Center (LRC), Halstad, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the LRC.

Inurnment: Halstad North Cemetery, Halstad, MN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Craig Hospital in John Paul's memory. Craig Hospital is a neurorehabilitation center in Colorado that specializes in spinal cord injuries.
