John Littlewolf, age 44, of Naytahwaush, MN, died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

John, the son of Isaac and Meredith (Bellanger) Littlewolf, was born on October 17, 1975, in Mahnomen, MN.  John grew up with a love for sports. He enjoyed golf, softball and especially football.  As he proudly wore #77 for his high school football team, the Mahnomen Indians, they won state championships several consecutive years before John graduated in 1994.

After graduation, John moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he welcomed his two sons, Dmitri and Darin.  Missing Northern Minnesota, he returned back to Naytahwaush where he worked at the Shooting Star Casino as a security guard.  Over the years, he also worked road construction with his dad and brother.  John has always had a special place in his heart for children and he was employed most recently with the Boys and Girls Club.  He had a great sense of humor and knew how to put a smile on everyone's face. John was very generous and would always help others in their time of need. In his spare time, he could be found hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. John also had an eye for art and spent many hours drawing and sketching. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his mother, Meredith of Naytahwaush; his children, Darin of Naytahwash, and Dmitri of Minneapolis; his step-children, Breanna and Fiona Fairbanks, both of White Earth, MN; his siblings, Justin (Amy), Tony and Lisa; and his grandchildren, Dakotah John, Dejanelle Meredy; and many aunts, uncles and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac "Bug" Littlewolf; and siblings, Jamie and Lynda.

Traditional Services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Naytahwaush Sports Complex, Naytahwaush, MN.
