John Vernon Jaeger Sr. age 67, of Twin Valley, MN, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Twin Valley Living Center.

John was born on January 5, 1943 to William "Bill" and Verna (Hoium) Jaeger. He attended school in Mahnomen and went on to drive truck for 49 years before retiring in 2008.

John was united in marriage to Nancy Venem of Fosston, MN, on January 28, 1967 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen. They made their home in Mahnomen and raised seven wonderful children. On July 27, 1991, John married Judy Anderson of Motley, MN, and they were later divorced. John continued to drive truck and has made his home in Twin Valley since 2005.

John enjoyed driving truck, hunting, fishing, gambling, playing cards and was known as a practical joker. He also liked sitting back, having a drink and bullshitting with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by those friends and family.

Surviving John are his children: Phyllis Jaeger (Alfred Olson) of Casselton, ND, Kathy (Kenny) Lhotka of Waubun, MN, Connie (Tom) Stock of Mahnomen, MN, John Jr. (Amanda) Jaeger of Fosston, MN, Allen (Tawneka) Jaeger of Mahnomen, Ryan Johnson and Joe Johnson both of Beaver Bay, MN. He has 13 grandchidlren: Greg, Tyler, Nicole, Page, Karlee, Kali, Justin, Holly (Jonathan), Randy (Dan), Blake, Hunter, Nadia and Christian; five great-grandchildren: Aaron, Owen, Ella, William and Kyra; and one ½ brother, Alfred Jaeger of Minneapolis, MN. John was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Theresa Green; two brothers, Gerald and William Jaeger and a ½ brother, Edward Jaeger.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2 pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen, MN, with a time of gathering one hour prior.
