Jim Sauck, age 78, of Twin Valley died on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.


James Sauck, was born March 27, 1936, at home to Anna (Bertek) and Carl Sauck. He grew up in the Waubun, MN, area, where he attended high school. He was a young father raising two children, "Jimmy" Charles Jr. and Sherrie until he was united in marriage to Rosetta Jahnke on November 25, 1975. To their union came six additional children: Reno, Calvin, Kelly, Bill, Dorothy and Page.


Over the years, Jim worked in numerous states as a sheet metal worker on various jobs. He also worked with the Local Union 10 for Sorinson and Gibb and Sons, both of Fargo, ND. Jim was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and trap, a hobby he shared with his sons. Jim had a special place in his heart for animals and dearly loved his dog, Goggoes.


Jim is survived by his wife, Rosetta; children: Jimmy (Laura) of Twin Valley, Sherrie of Detroit Lakes, MN, Reno (Lucretia) of Ada, MN, Calvin of Twin Valley, Kelly Asp of Thief River Falls, MN, Bill of Ada, Dorothy also of Ada, and Page of Twin Valley; his dog, Goggoes; two sisters, Macella Bennett of Grand Rapids, MN, and Carol Jensen of Salem, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred; and several beloved pets.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Anderson Family Funeral Home of Mahnomen.
