Jessica Green, age 48, of Ulen, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Jessica Joy Haslerud was born June 28, 1977, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Theodore and Elaine (Tufton) Haslerud.  She grew up in Ulen and graduated with the Class of 1995 from Ulen-Hitterdal High School.  During high school, Jess maintained good grades, held one or two steady jobs at the same time and managed to have a social life.  She often spoke of her time growing up in Hagen Township and all the time spent down at the river.  It was here, down at the river, under the bridge where she would first kiss her soul mate, Dustin Green.  The couple dated for sometime before uniting in marriage on September 27, 2004.  Jess and Dusty were blessed with two children, Tucker and Morgan.  They built a new home in 2008 and after the first couple years it was always a work in progress.  Jess was constantly changing it up, painting and remodeling!  She enjoyed decorating, repurposing items, staining the cupboards and most recently ordering new vinyl flooring.

Jessica had the work hard – play hard attitude.  She was very responsible, yet she knew how to have a good time.  Her work history began while she was still in school.  She worked at the Ulen Standard, Viking Manor Nursing Home, bartended at the Nordic, West Central and most recently Crystal Sugar in addition to helping with the bookkeeping for their business, Green Construction.  Jess had so many wonderful qualities about her that drew people to her.  She was generous, loving, energetic and carefree.  She enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling, playing the drums, and checking out antiques.  Dusty and Jess's place was always the spot for family get-togethers but the 4th of July ones were the most memorable.  Above all, Jess treasured the time spent with her family, especially Dusty and the kids.  She loved each and everyone in her own special way.  Although she is gone from this life too soon, she will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to be part of her life.  She did not let cancer transform or define her.  Her faith never wavered, and she continued to work hard and play hard until she was no longer able.

Jessica is survived by her husband, Dusty; son, Tucker; daughter, Morgan, all of Ulen; her parents, Teddy and Elaine Haslerud of Ulen; brother, Rick Olson of Hitterdal; sister, Debbie Tweten of West Fargo, ND; mother-in-law, Diane Green of Twin Valley, MN; brothers-in-law, Darcy (Melissa) Green of Ulen and Devin Green of Hawley; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father-in-law, Oscar Green and aunt and uncle, Marlene and Al Berg.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 12:00pm, with a time of gathering starting at 10:00am, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen.
