Jerry Lene, age 58, of Twin Valley, Minnesota, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in his residence.
Jerry Lee Lene was born May 4, 1949, the son of Lawrence and Clarice (Bueng) Lene in Ada, Minnesota. As an infant he lived with this parents in Twin Valley, Minnesota. After his mothers' death, he was raised by his father and grandfather, John Lene. Jerry attended school in Twin Valley. As a young man he served his country in the United States Army, being stationed in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge, he worked in the Seattle, Washington, area for a time before returning to Twin Valley. Jerry was employed as a carpenter for most of his life. He also owned and operated the Horse Shoe Bar and the Texaco Service Station, both in Twin Valley, for a number of years.
Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life.
He is survived by his father, Lawrence and his wife Mary of Tacoma, Washington; one sister, Clarissa "Dolly" (Terry) Meyer, Fargo, ND; two brothers, Loren (Rosalind) Lene, Concrete, Washington and Bruce (Gerri) Bueng, Valley City, North Dakota; step-sisters, Carrie (Kent), Pat and Lynn (Dave) all of Washington, and many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother.
Private services were held with interment in the Twin Valley Memorial Gardens, Twin Valley, Minnesota.
