Jennie E. Lee, 86, of Fertile, MN, died on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the Fair Meadow Nursing Home, Fertile, MN.
Jennie Elizabeth Lind was born October 15, 1923, to John and Elizabeth (Fristrom) Lind on the family homestead in rural Erskine. She was the tenth of twelve children. Jennie was confirmed at Union Lake Free Lutheran Church, rural Winger, MN.
On August 7, 1947, Jennie was united in marriage to William "Bill" Lee. Following their marriage they lived in Waukon Township and Moorhead, MN, before moving to Minneapolis, MN, in 1954. Following Bill's retirement, in 1976, and they returned to Fertile, MN. Jennie was a licensed day care provider for many years in Minneapolis. After they returned to Fertile, she worked at Erikson-Vik Funeral Home, Concordia Lutheran Church, and Fair Meadow Nursing Home.
Jennie was an active member of Union Lake Free Lutheran Church and its ladies aid in rural Winger. She was always a giving woman who would feed everyone who came by. She enjoyed gardening, old time music, car racing, and, above all, her grandchildren. Jennie and Bill were active in supporting the pro-life movement.

Jennie is survived by her children, Sandra Olson, Ham Lake, MN, Lynette Hussman, and Tanya Lee, both of Coon Rapids, MN, William Lee Jr., Fertile, MN, and Barbara Briggs, Coon Rapids, MN, , nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bernice (Don) Halverson, Brooklyn Center, MN, and Joyce (Robert) Johnston, Fridley, MN, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill, November 30, 2009, an infant son, Danny, brothers: Art, Raymond, Chester, and Lester, sisters: Agnes Zahl, Alice Maland, Evelyn Larson, Ina Gulbranson, and Winifred TerWisscha.

Funeral: Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at Union Lake Free Lutheran Church, rural Winger, MN.

Visitation: Thursday, April 1, from 4:30-6:30pm at the Erikson-Vik Funeral Home, Fertile, MN.

Burial: Lima Cemetery, rural Winger, MN.
