Jean L. Burgess, 88, Twin Valley, MN, died Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Twin Valley Living Center.  She was born October 20, 1928, the only child of Herbert and Lillian Barties.

Jean was an avid reader and collector of dolls and miniatures.  She loved excursions to miniature shops and antique shops looking for just the right miniature piece to go with her tiny doll settings.

Her other passion was her art.  She enjoyed drawing and oil painting and was quite gifted in that area, winning several competitions.

Jean is survived by nine children; daughter Gail (Don) Warner, son David (Elizabeth) Burgess, son Jeffrey (Debbie) Burgess, son Danny Burgess, son Bernard (Debbie) Burgess, son Herbert Burgess, son Gregory (Brenda) Burgess, daughter Jessie (Gary) Morse, son Douglas (Donna) Burgess and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kathy Burgess.

She will by laid to rest at The Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.

She will be missed by all.
