Watch Janice's Funeral

Janice Broers, age 75, of Mahnomen, MN, died Friday, November 13, 2020, at her home.

Janice Marie Steckley was born on February 27, 1945, to Albert and Mary (Paul) Steckley in Mahnomen.  She grew up and attended school in Mahnomen.  Following high school, Janice worked for a short time in Detroit Lakes, MN.

On April 3, 1964, Janice was united in marriage to Dudley Broers in Mahnomen.  To this union, two sons, Gary and Kevin were born.  After the boys were grown and Gary moved to a group home, Janice worked for several years at Traveler's Motel and Bruggeman's Super Value.  In her later years, she did light housekeeping and cleaning for area people where she made many new friends.  Janice adored people of all ages. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and four-wheeling.  Janice especially loved taking trips to Nashville, TN, and Branson, MO, with her husband, Dudley.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janice is survived by her husband, Dudley; sons, Gary of Thief River Falls, MN, and Kevin of Brooklyn Center, MN; sister, Marcie Eller of Little Falls, MN; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and great nephews whom she cherished.  She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; brother and sister-in-law; and one brother-in-law.

Public Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 5-7 pm at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen.

Private Family Services will be held with burial at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Mahnomen.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate.
