James "Jim" L. Maurseth, 80, Ada, MN, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND.

James Leroy Maurseth was born on October 7, 1943 to Torfen and Norma (Christenson) Maurseth in Northwood, ND.

Jim graduated from Northwood High School and joined the National Guard after. He worked at the Kindred Elevator for many years but also worked various other jobs. Jim was united in marriage to Mary Hiltwein on September 17, 1982 in Sisseton, SD. In 1996 Jim and Mary moved to Ada, MN and made it their home. They loved to take trips to Deadwood, SD and enjoyed time with great friends they had met over the years.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Jamey (Patrick) Donovan and two grandchildren, Sean and Shannon, all of Maiden, NC; sister, Marlys Alexson, Coon Rapids, MN; step-children, Robert (Brenda) Hiltwein, Fargo, ND; Ralph (Yolanda) Hiltwein, Florida; Michelle (Jeff Eberhardt) Robertsdahl, Fargo, ND; and Mellonie (Wayne Aanenson) Budke, South Dakota; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Maurseth; parents, Torfen and Norma; brother, Lyle; sister, Audrey (Norman) Mandt; and brother-in-law, Richard Alexson.

Memorial Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.

Inurnment: Augustana Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Halstad, MN.
