James Blair Jr., also known as "Chief" age 73, of Greendale, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 8, 2018, in his home.

James D. Blair, the son of James and Patricia (Soukup) Blair, was born on December 3, 1944, in White Earth, MN.  James was united in marriage to Doris Smith on September 25, 1963.  The couple moved to the Milwaukee, WI, area in 1963, where they resided until his death.

James was a proud Army Veteran.  He was also a hard worker, which displayed itself well on the job at Griffin-Hope and Astro Tool and Die.  James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his wife, Doris Blair; son, Tyrone (Nicole) Blair; daughter, Yvette Chromy; three grandchildren: Travis Blair, Brooke Chromy and Megan Chromy; sister, Gloria Blair-Pejovic; and extended relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia; and sister, Dale Steiner.
