Jake Fuglie, age 24, of Ulen, Minnesota died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from injuries sustained in a farm accident.

Jake Duane Fuglie was born August 19, 1986 in Fargo, North Dakota the son of Delmon Fuglie and Gayle (Langseth) Lund. As a small child he lived in Hawley with his family before moving to the Ulen Community. He was raised near Ulen and attended the Ulen-Hitterdal School. Jake was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen. While a student at the Ulen-Hitterdal High School, Jake took an active roll in FFA, football and other activities. He served as President of the FFA and won many awards in FFA and football. He always helped out at his grandparents at their farms and worked for Amundson Dairy throughout high school, getting up and milking cows before and after school. While growing up, during the summers, he along with his brothers worked with his step brother for Lund Roofing. He graduated from the Ulen-Hitterdal High School with the class of 2005, of which he was the class president. After graduation, he worked various construction jobs before becoming employed at Braseth Construction of Ulen, where he was currently employed. Here he worked as a millwright building storage bins, installing grain conveyers and grain legs, work he truly enjoyed. Jake had also worked for several area farmers over the years and was presently farming on the side with his brother. They were planning on expanding the farming operation to include cattle and more acreage which was his life-long dream.

Some of the things Jake enjoyed were hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and doing anything outdoors, but his true passion was farming. He always looked forward to his annual snowmobiling trip to West Yellowstone with friends and relatives. He always enjoyed hanging out with his friends and classmates. Something that he will be remembered for was that he was not afraid of getting dirty. He was widely known as a hard worker and always really had a Git-R-Done attitude. He always went out his way to help anybody.

Jake is survived by his mother, Gayle Lund (special friend Dave Lunder), Ulen, MN, his father, Delmon (Linda) Fuglie, Sioux Falls, SD, two brothers, Brady (Kayla) and Ben all of Ulen, MN, three step-sisters, Tammy Lund (Fiance Brad Halverson), Hawley, MN, Tanya (Kiet) Nguyen, Hitterdal, MN, and Jessica (Dave) Schwehr, Moorhead, MN, three step-brothers, Trevor Lund (special friend Ashley Boit), Lake Park, MN, Justin Swank, Fargo, ND, and Ryan Beery, Brainerd, MN, his grandparents, Duane and Kathy Fuglie, Ulen, MN and Keith and Lorraine Langseth, Glyndon, MN; step-grandparents Raymond (Mavis) Jacobsen, Park Rapids, MN, great-grandmother, Ruth Langseth, Glyndon, MN, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Gary Lund, his great-grandfather Norman Langseth, great-grandparents Bill & Alice Wagner, great-grandparents Henry & Alice Fuglie, and great-grandparents Nels & Borghild Ersland.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 30th at 11:00 AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ulen. Visitation will be Monday from 5PM until 7PM with a Prayer Service at 7PM at the Church. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Dahl with Carol Lockhart serving as organist. Pallbearers will be Jake Schreiner, Danny Moore, Daryl Moore, Blaine Bakke, Brandon Bakke, and Nick Amundson. Honorary pallbearers will be the graduating class of 2005 and his nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the West Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen.
