Celebrating the Life of Jake Alexander

Jacob William Alexander, 25, Ada, MN, died of injuries sustained from an auto accident near Ada, MN, Saturday, April 23, 2011. Jacob was delivered into this world February 2, 1986, at Ada, MN, the son of Glen and Deb (Wilkens) Alexander. He was baptized on April 6, 1986, at Faith United Church and confirmed on September 23, 2001, at Grace Lutheran Church, both in Ada. In 2004, he graduated from Ada-Borup High School. Jake later attended MSCTC in Moorhead for Plumbing.
Growing up he enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids, lakes in the summer, snowmobiling in the winter which became a life long passion. During his grade school and high school years, he enjoyed playing basketball and football. Jake also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Jake enjoyed his Rap music. He also had a passion for working on cars and motorcycles, riding snowmobile and dirt bike, skiing and paintball wars at the Sorenson Farm. He was interested in car racing videos, racing cars, anything that could give him a thrill. Camping and hiking had become his current interests.
Jake is survived by his parents Glen and Deb (Wilkens) Alexander, Ada, three sisters, Amber (Jeremy) Roering, Moorhead, MN; Jodi (Dean) Smith, West Fargo, ND; Brittany (Tanner) Kost, Moorhead, MN; two nieces and two nephews, Addison and Zane Smith, Cooper Roering and Laela Kost, grandparents, Doris Alexander and William and Betty Wilkens, and a great-grandmother Marvel Nepstad all of Ada, MN, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bud (Jesse) Alexander and great-grandparents, William and Olga Wilkens, and Gunder Nepstad.
Jake will always be remembered for his contagious laugh, huge smile and easy going personality.
Funeral Service: 11:00 on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5-8PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30PM all at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada.
