Jack D. Prang, age 61, of Mahnomen, MN, died on Thursday, January 14, 2016, in his home following a courageous battle with cancer.  His daughter was at his side and he was under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Jack attended school at Thomas Jefferson Senior High in Minneapolis, MN. He immediately served our country in the United States Marine Corps for four years.  After an honorable discharge as an E-5 Sargent, he moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, and worked for the CRANDIC Railroad as an engineer for a dozen plus years.  Following that, Jack worked 25 years for Ozark National Life Insurance Co., and N.I.S. Financial Services.  He leaves behind his daughter Susan, his son Deane, three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jack's favorite quote was "It's Always Something".

Services will be held on January 29, 2016, at 2:00 pm at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, MN. Interment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
