Ida Paulson Nefzger, 82, of Fosston, Minnesota, formerly Bejou and Ogema, Minnesota, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 in the Midway Care Center, Fosston, Minnesota.
Ida was born June 12, 1926 near Ogema, the only daughter of Henry and Susie (Fletcher) Andresen. She was raised on a farm west of Ogema and attended school at Ogema. As a young woman, Ida worked as a waitress in area cafés. In 1946, she was united in marriage to Clarence Paulson and they made their home in Ogema until Clarence's death in 1976. Ida married Norbert Nefzger in 1977 and the couple made their home in Bejou, Minnesota for nearly 20 years. Due to Ida's declining health, she moved into the Midway Care Center in Fosston in 1996. Later that year, Norbert died and Ida has made her home at Midway for the past 12 years.
Ida is survived by two children, a daughter, Henrietta, known as Hank and her husband Mitch Thompson of Mahnomen, Minnesota and her son Curtis Paulson. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
A graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ogema City Cemetery in Ogema. Viewing and visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery. A time of gathering and refreshments will follow at the Hank Thompson Residence.
