In 1984, Ida married William Giard and they made their home in Mahnomen, MN. Shy and quiet yet helpful, considerate and very friendly are all words to describe Ida. She was a good mom who enjoyed spending time with family. Ida also liked playing cards and dice, fishing, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She always had huge and plentiful gardens with abundant produce and flowers. When she wasn't enjoying the outdoors, Ida loved to go to the casino and play Bingo. She was a long time member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Rice Lake.
Ida is survived by two sons, Roger (Cindy Boyer) Stevens and Dennis Stevens, both of Mahnomen; a step-son, Jim Giard of Bagley; daughter, Carol Bunker, of Mahnomen; four step-daughters: Chris Giard, Becky Giard, Mary Giard and Shelly Giard; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Bert Stevens, of Bagley, MN, Donald Stevens, of White Earth, MN, and Ronald Stevens, also of Bagley; three sisters: Connie (Richard) LaFriniere, Bonnie (Kenny) LaFriniere, both of Mahnomen, and Yvonne Stevens of Bagley; special friend, Dennis Dahlke, also of Bagley and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
