Harlan "Red" Glenn Mosher, 79, Beltrami, MN, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Riverview Health in Crookston, MN.

Harlan was born on January 30, 1943 in Fertile, MN to Earl & June (Ogaard) Mosher. He attended elementary school in Beltrami until the 8 ^th grade then came over to Fertile where he graduated in 1961.

Red married Janice Diane Haugen on October 6, 1962, at Concordia Church in Fertile. They made their home on the farm in Beltrami.

Red was very involved in 4-H and FFA and showed various livestock, earning a spot on the state FFA livestock judging team which he took second place. He farmed over the years where he put up hay crops and raised some of the best "Mosher beef" and homegrown chickens which he was very proud of. Red loved growing his own sweet corn and potatoes every year and would share with whoever he could. He also grew beautiful roses and was very proud to bring a person a vaseful to brighten their day.

He was a very generous person with a huge heart, and he would do anything for anyone to help them out. He was always up for a good game of cards, especially poker or smear, and was known to be quite the card player.

Red played basketball and baseball during his school years and continued to play baseball and softball after he graduated. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. He was a die-hard MN sports fan, especially the Twins, even if they were losing.

Red worked various parttime jobs over the years; hauling beets for farmers, working for the railroad, and at the Beltrami Cenex Fertilizer Plant. He worked for Russell Johnson auctioneering, buying, and selling items, and with "Wilder than Ever" with Vern Hagen distributing game machines within the region. He owned and ran Mosher Auto Sales out of Fertile selling used cars. Lynn Lucken and Red would make many trips buying and selling cars at the auto auctions. This was when Red could be quoted singing Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again." Red sold and jockeyed many items over the years. They always said he was such a good salesman that he could sell a freezer to an Eskimo. Red bartended for many places. He was known for his endless stories and jokes that he would tell. Many people often told him "You should write a book."

Red loved to visit with his friends and family, whether it was in person or on the phone. He enjoyed his cats and often shared stories of them.

He will be known for his favorite saying, "It's come to this."

Harlan is survived by his 3 sons, Guy Mosher, Chad (Donna) Mosher, and Tyler (Missy) Mosher; grandchildren, Tony (Jess) Mosher, Andrea (Matt) Johnson, Devin (Tina) Mosher, Presley (Megan Goodell) Mosher, Tate (Haley) Mosher, Kennedy Mosher, Mitchell (Emily) Mosher, Raven (Gavin Czuprynski) Mosher, Eva Mosher, Tyson (Arianna Jackson) Mosher, and Gabby Mosher; great grandchildren, Isabelle, Ryder, Charlee, Jack, Hannah, Mila, Emmett, Everlee, Quinn, and Linnea; brother, Gary (Donna) Mosher; brothers-in-law, Rex, Orlen, John, and Roger Haugen, and Jerome Larson; sisters-in-law, Ruth Jacobson and Mona Haugen; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jan; parents, Earl and June Mosher; sister, Connie Larson; an infant son; father-in-law, Ralph Haugen; mother-in-law, Gladys Haugen; sisters-in-law, Linda Haugen, Kathy Haugen, and Lou Haugen; and brother-in-law, Gene Jacobson.

Memorial Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Beltrami, MN.

Visitation: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Beltrami, MN.
