Obituary

Gregory Stevens, age 66, of Bagley, MN, died Friday, June 20, 2025, at his home in Bagley.

Gregory Michael was born June 24, 1958, son of Lonnie and Dorothy (Kegg) Stevens in White Earth, MN.  His youth was spent in the Bagley area and after graduating from high school, Greg joined the United States Marine Corp.  He proudly served and was honorably discharged in April of 1976. Following his discharge, Greg returned to the Bagley area.  He attended the Vo-Tech in Detroit Lakes, MN, where he learned the trade of an electrician.  Greg worked in the Mahnomen, MN, and Bagley area as an electrician for several years.  Later, he worked at the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall in Mahnomen for several years until his health began to decline.

Greg was a giving and generous individual with a great sense of humor.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  In his spare time, Greg enjoyed watching Westerns on television, playing cards and dice and going to the casino to play Keno.  He was proud of his military service and honorably served with the White Earth Honor Guard attending pow wows, funerals and many other events.  Greg will be missed and remembered by many family and friends.

Greg is survived by three sisters: Charlene Thompson of Rice Lake, MN, Cynthia Stevens of Gonvick, MN, and Karen Murray of Mahnomen; two brothers, Timothy Stevens of Coon Rapids, MN, and David Stevens of Rice Lake, MN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins including Valerie Thompson and Carol Bunker who were very close to Greg.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Gail Stevens; nieces, Tracy Thompson and Dawn Thompson and a great niece, Jandy Frederick.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Community Center, Rice Lake, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Community Center. Burial will be in St. Philip's Episcopal Cemetery, Rice Lake, MN.
