Gloria Jean Skalsky, age 81, Dilworth, MN, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Gloria was born on June 2 ^nd , 1937 in Ada, MN to Walter and Elaine (Rehder) Cirks. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Larry Skalsky, at St. John's Green Meadow Lutheran Church rural Ada. A few years later, they moved to Dilworth, MN, where they continued growing their family. Gloria spent motherhood at home, proudly raising their 6 children; Laurie, Kevin, Joe, Todd, Tim, and Jason.

In 1982, Larry, Gloria, Tim, and Jason moved to Farmington, MN to follow Larry's work. In Farmington, Gloria went back to work as a paraprofessional at Farmington Elementary. Gloria loved working with children, and they loved her. In 2006, Larry and Gloria moved back home, to Dilworth, where they have been settled ever since. Gloria will always be remembered for her wonderful baking, her tireless work ethic, her honesty, her genuine love for her family, and her strong faith in the Lord.

Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Larry; sons, Kevin (Marianne), Joe (Carole), Todd (Chris), Tim (Kirsten), and Jason; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Claudia) Cirks; sister-in-law, JoAnn Cirks; and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elaine Cirks; daughter, Laurie Sams; 2 grandsons; and her brother, Gary Cirks.

Gloria's memory will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' John 3:16.

Memorial Service: 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the church.

Interment: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
