Watch Gloria's Funeral

Gloria Sather Price, age 82, of Ulen, MN, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen.

Gloria Ann Sather, affectionately known to many as "Grandma Pete" was born at home on June 8, 1942, the daughter of Arnold and Mrytle (Ose) Sather.  She grew up on the farm, attended country school and graduated from Ulen High School with the Class of 1960.  Gloria was united in marriage to A. Harley Peterson and together they raised three children.  The young couple made their home for a short time in Anchorage, AK, then Minneapolis, MN, followed by Hitterdal, MN, before settling back in the Ulen area.  In the late 70's, Gloria began working at the VFW in Ulen. She retired after 30+ years of dedicated service to the community.  In 2006, Gloria married Stanley Price and they lived in Detroit Lakes, MN.  In 2018, Gloria moved to the assisted living in Ulen followed by the nursing home, where she made her home until her death.

Gloria was soft spoken and friendly, but she also came with a bit of spunk and a great sense of humor.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids and taking in all their activities.  She even liked to introduce them to some activities she enjoyed, like watching scary movies!  In her earlier years, Gloria enjoyed playing softball and having coffee daily with the girls at the Ulen Café.  Later in life, she enjoyed activities like word search, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, Top Hat Theatre in Ulen, watching game shows on tv, and reading romance novels.  Over the years, one hobby that never changed was her love for Bingo!  It was her favorite pastime.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Stanley; a daughter, Laurie (Dan) Murphy of Felton, MN; a son, Randy Peterson of Hampton, VA; daughter-in-law, Ronda (Peterson) Fisher; nine grandchildren: Ashley (Brandon) Larson, Trent (Sarah) Klemetson, Christopher Peterson, Travis Klemetson, Aaron (Kelsey) Peterson, Patrick (Heather) Murphy, Cole Peterson, Callie Murphy, and Rebekah Murphy; 14 great-grandchildren: Kenley (14), Anders (11) and Hayes (10) Larson, Kellen (2) and Tatum (7 wks) Klemetson; Carson (18) Jauslynn (10) and Jaxson (9) Peterson; Kenzi (14) Klemetson; Elora (10) and Natalie (6) Peterson; Gabriella (11), Jackson (4) and Oliver (2) Murphy; brother, Arnold Sather Jr.; a sister-in-law, Dawn Sather; and a step-son, Daniel Price.  She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Todd Peterson; and a brother, Mervin Sather.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a visitation 1 hour prior, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen, MN.

Inurnment will take place at Keene Cemetery, rural Ulen in the Spring.
