Glenn Holm, age 84, of Twin Valley, MN, formerly of Borup, MN, died on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen, MN.

Glenn was born at home on October 26, 1937, to George and Sylvia (Askelson) Holm near Borup, MN.  He was baptized and confirmed at Winchester Lutheran Church in Borup.  Glenn attended school for nine years before enlisting in the United States Army.  He proudly served from February 1956 until his honorable discharge in December of 1957.  Glenn was stationed in Arkansas, Colorado, and Germany, serving as a truck driver.  He continued his service with the Army Reserves for four additional years.  After returning home to Borup, Glenn worked for various farmers including George Lee and Eugene Engel.  He was also employed with Olson Well Drilling for a time.  He started working full time for Lee Seed Farms in 1966 until his retirement in 1999.  In June 1969, Glenn married Inez Odell Aanenson, of Gary, at the Gary Lutheran Church.  She passed away on July 25, 1992.  Shortly thereafter in 1995, he found love again, and was united in marriage to Arlene Burnside Buretta in Ulen, MN.  Sadly, Glenn lost her to cancer on May 30, 2009.  Glenn moved into the Johnson Apartments in Twin Valley about 10 years ago and in January of 2020 relocated to the Twin Valley Living Center where he has made his home since.  Due to failing health, Glenn received his last few weeks of care at the Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen.

Glenn enjoyed driving around and looking at the countryside. He also spent many hours tending to his yard.  Glenn appreciated trees and avoided removing any, if possible, in his yard or farm work.  He also liked to plant new trees and watch them grow.  He made many fond memories with his nieces and nephews and liked to reminisce about the old days.  Glenn was a hard worker, devoted husband, and wonderful brother and uncle.

Glenn is survived by his sister, Arlene (Arne) Carlsrud of Twin Valley; two nephews, Allen (Tammy) Carlsrud and Arlyn (Judy) Carlsrud; two nieces, Sandy (Al) Desrosier, and Stacey Stueness; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Winchester Lutheran Church in Borup, MN.  Visitation will take place at the church one hour before the funeral. Burial will be at Winchester Lutheran Cemetery.
