Gladys Renouf, 99, Halstad, MN formerly Twin Valley, MN died Tuesday, May 28 at the Halstad Living Center, Halstad.

Gladys Charlotte Almina Lindberg was born February 4, 1914 in Twin Valley, MN to Charles and Josephine (Johnson) Lindberg. As a young girl Gladys left home to live and work at the Bingham Resort at Cass Lake to help support her family. She confirmed her faith at her church in Cass Lake.
Gladys moved to Los Angeles, CA in the mid 40's where she fell in love and married Victor Renouf. They worked at the same restaurant where she was a waitress. They lived in various Southern California locations until they moved to Twin Valley, MN in the early 70's. While making their home here, Gladys was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Victor and Gladys leased the South Side Café in Twin Valley for a short time. She worked as a waitress most of her life until she retired. Vic later opened Vic's Cabinet Shop in Twin Valley. After his passing in 1988, Gladys moved several times to California and Mesa, Arizona and back to Twin Valley, always being involved with a local church. She loved Jesus and her strong faith sustained her all her life.

Gladys' favorite pastimes included making patch-work quilts; both on her own and with ladies groups at church. She also volunteered with the Alzheimer patients in Mesa, Arizona. Gladys lived at Lincoln Terrace in Twin Valley until 2 years ago when she fell and broke her hip at which time she entered the Halstad Living Center where she resided until her passing.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Joan (Dennis) Morain of Colfax, CA; granddaughter,
Jaime (Andy) Quresh; great-grandson, Andrew of Rocklin, CA; nephews: Doug (Harriet) Andersen of Twin Valley, MN, Glenn Andersen, Joel (Cathy) Andersen all of Gary, MN, Doug Renouf of Fontana, CA; nieces, Lani (Dennis) Rude of Argusville, ND, Randy Munson of Fertile, MN, Darla (Dave) Stojevich of Duluth, MN, Connie Donaldson (Steve) of Flower Mound, TX, Audeen Reilly of Claremont, CA; nephews, Roger, Ron, Robert Ek and nieces, Roxanne, Rosalie, Renee (Ek); brother-in-law, Jack (Sally) Renouf of Sun City, CA; and numerous second and third nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Good News Fellowship Church, Gary, MN. Officiating was be Pastor Norm Gullingsrud.

Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
