Gladys Prussia, 102, Ada, MN, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Bridges Care Community, Ada.
Gladys Thelma Slininger was born July 19, 1910, at White, SD, the daughter of Charles and Fannie (Hornby) Slininger. When Gladys was 4 years old they moved to a farm southwest of Ada, MN. She attended rural school at Bloomfield School near Twin Valley, MN. Gladys was united in marriage to Milford Prussia on August 20, 1937 in Ada. They lived in Ada and raised their family. Gladys worked as a waitress and cook for several café's including the Pantry Café and Chi Chi's Restaurant.
Gladys was a member of Grace Lutheran Church; the Ladies Aid, Circle and quilting group. She was a Charter Member and Past President of the Ada VFW Auxiliary and a Royal Neighbors of America member. She loved spending time outside working in her flower garden. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, attending ball games and quilting. She always looked forward to family get togethers.
She is survived by her children: Chuck (Betty) Prussia, Callaway, MN, Rick (Diann) Prussia, Hendrum, MN, Gloria (DeLyle) Naugle, Nevis, MN; seven grandchildren: Lori Haick, Tim (Patti) Naugle, Melissa (Jay) Kluck, Josh (Amy) Prussia, Leah Prussia, Danielle Brommenschenkel, Mariah Prussia; sixteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret (Bill) Lee, Ada, MN, Florence Erickson, Twin Valley, MN, one brother: Burton Slininger, Twin Valley, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, husband, Milford, brothers: Melvin, Roy, Clyde, Russell, and sisters: Mabel, Lila, Iva and Orvilla.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada.
Visitation: Wednesday from 5-8PM with a 7PM prayer service at Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada.
Burial: Ada City Cemetery, Ada, MN.
