The exciting moments of pregnancy turned to sorrow for JoDean Bower and Geno Kegg, of Mahnomen, MN, with the death of their baby boy, Geno Lee Kegg Jr., on January 6, 2009 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Geno Jr. is survived by his mother, JoDean Bower; and father, Geno Kegg; his brother, Shawn Bower; and sister, Kayara Kegg, all of Mahnomen. He is also survived by four uncles: Orville "Casper" Bower Jr. of Waubun, MN, Bernard "Jugg" Bower of Mahnomen, David Bower of Sandstone, MN, and Michael Isais of Minneapolis, MN; his paternal grandparents, Carmen Kegg and Eugene Smith, both of Minneapolis; and his great-grandparents, Evelyn Nickeboine of Mille Lacs, MN and Ardyth Smith of Sandstone.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Orville and Rudella Bower, great-grandparents, Spencer and Lois Bower and Fritze Benjimine; and an aunt, Sandra Bower.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN. Visitation will be held at the family's home, beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 and continuing until the services on Thursday. Burial will take place at the Strawberry Lake Mennonite Cemetery, rural Ogema, MN.
