Obituary

Gaylord Bueing, age 73, of Ada, Minnesota, died Monday, October 2, 2006, in Bridges Care Community, Ada.

Gaylord Allen Bueing was born September 20, 1933, in Ulen, Minnesota, the son of Gerhard and Alice (Askelson) Bueing. At an early age, he moved with his parents to Twin Valley, Minnesota, where he was raised. In November of 1991, he moved to the Natwick Home in Gary, Minnesota. Ten years later in 2001, he moved to Ada and resided at the Integrity Home. He continued to make his home there before recently entering the Care Community.

Gaylord attended the Norman County DAC for 14 years. He liked to tinker with things and could often be found disassembling radios and bicycles. Gaylord also loved to listen to music. His dog, Dixie brought a lot of joy to Gaylord's life as well as participating in the Special Olympics and attending Camp Sunshine. Gaylord will be remembered as a happy-go-lucky guy who cared about everyone around him.

He is survived by two aunts and numerous cousins. Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be Friday Oct. 6th at 2:00 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, with Pastor Robert Behling officiating. Harley and Sylvia Bueng will provide special music, with Ruth Lerud as organist. Serving as pallbearers will be Algie Hanson, Edward Bueng, Curtis Askelson, Arnold (Bud) Bueng, Dennis Bueng, and Curtis Bueng. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church.

Interment will take place at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
