Gail
Stevens
Aug 20, 1956 — Jan 31, 2021
Waubun
Gail Stevens, age 64, of Waubun, MN, suddenly passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Sanford Health Center, Fargo, ND.
Gail Marie Stevens was born to Lonnie and Dorothy (Kegg) Stevens on August 20, 1956, in Bagley, MN. After graduating from Bagley High School, she studied welding at Detroit Lakes Technical College. Over the years, Gail has been employed at the Shooting Star Casino in housekeeping, the buffet, Whispering Winds Cafe and in banquets. Most recently, she has been preparing meals for the elderly during Covid 19. Gail has made many wonderful friends over the years and treasured the time spent on the job with her co-workers.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, going places and keeping busy. Gail especially treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. Her favorite foods to prepare were frybread and Indian tacos. Gail was known for her outgoing personality, silly sense of humor, her big smile and dimples and of course her contagious laugh. She was a great mother and grandmother, with a huge heart and kind soul. Gail will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children: Tara (Tony Bobo) Stevens of Coon Rapids, MN, Kevin (Moriah Pivec) Stevens, Michael Stevens, and Robin Stevens all of Waubun; four grandchildren: Adrian Stevens, Armani Stevens, Annamarie Stevens and Greyson Stevens; three brothers: Timothy Stevens of Rice Lake, MN, Greg Stevens and David Stevens both of Mahnomen, MN; three sisters: Char (Calvin) Thompson of Rice Lake, Cindy Stevens of Gonvik, MN, and Karen (Daniel) Murray of Hawley, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Dorothy, and many aunts and uncles.
A public walk-through visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2020 from 5-7 pm at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen, MN. Private Family Services will be held Friday, February 5, 2020 at Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen.
