On February 2, 1964, Francisca was united in marriage to Pedro Ruiz in Asherton, TX. This union began a lifetime of rich family life, filled with devotion, adventure and love. Pedro and Francisca lived in Texas and travelled to Illinois, North Dakota, Nebraska, and, for the longest time, in Minnesota doing farm labor. In 1994, they moved to Halstad, where they have lived since.
Francisca's life was centered on her family. She was a homemaker and mother of eight wonderful children she loved spending all her time with. Francisca was a fabulous cook, especially her home made tamale's! She filled her house full of memories and faith to make her house feel like a "Home" built with love. As grandchildren and great-grandchildren were born into the family, Francisca continued her genuine love and devotion to each one, and many years of serving with her Catholic Church..
Some of her passions were gardening playing, bingo, and penny slots at the casino. A memory known to most will be hearing Francisca yell "Bingo!" Spanish soap operas, which DVR allowed her more convenient watching times, was a daily ritual. Francisca will most be remembered for the great love she had for her husband Pedro. She will also be remembered by her compassion for those whom were less fortunate.
