Francis Fox, age 56, of White Earth, MN, died Friday, December 21, 2007 at MeritCare in Fargo, ND. Francis William Fox was born to Alvina Fox on February 15, 1951, in Mahnomen, MN. He grew up in Gary, MN, where he attended school. After graduating from Gary High School in 1969, Francis entered the United States Navy. After proudly serving his country for four years, Francis moved to Wichita, KS. He was united in marriage to Veronica Rountree on October 14, 1977. The couple made their home in Wichita and Francis attended vocational school obtaining a degree in drafting. He was employed at Beech Aircraft as a facilities planner for nine years. While there he designed buildings on site and around the country. In 1987, Francis and his sons relocated to Twin Valley, MN. Since that time, he has worked various construction jobs and was employed at the Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, MN. Four years ago, he moved to White Earth, MN, and was currently working full time as a slot technician at the Casino. Francis was a true sports fanatic and played anytime he was able. He especially enjoyed fantasy football and playing softball. He treasured time being outdoors, 4-wheeling, and fishing. He was also a very talented carpenter who was often found helping friends and family with projects around their homes. Francis cherished each of his grandchildren and spent many hours making memories with them. Francis is survived by two sons, Michael Fox and Eric Fox, both of Mahnomen; one brother, Vernon of Warroad, MN; one sister, Florence (Roger) Knoff of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Emily and Christian Fox and Cameron Stevens; and three dear friends, Erica Wytaske of Mahnomen, Bobby Murray of Twin Valley, and Jerry Rasmussen of White Earth; as well as two nieces, Star and Christy; and one nephew, Josh. He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, Danny; and his foster parents, Alfred and Hazel Stene.
