Farrel Nirschl, 78, formerly of Ada, MN, died April 23, 2012, in Roseville, CA.

Farrel was born November 1, 1933, in Ada, the son of Carl and Amelia (Wallnofer) Nirschl. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ada and attended school in Ada. He served in the United States Army in Korea and returned home to Ada. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Dentz in 1956, and they raised three daughters. He worked in various jobs before starting a Heating/AC business in Ada. In 1978, he moved to Auburn, WA and worked in the heating/AC industry. In 1985, he moved to Roseville, CA and worked for Thermal Air before he retired.

Farrel enjoyed his coffee time with friends and helping out his family and neighbors. He also spent time bowling with friends and visiting casinos. He was a member of St. Rose Lima Catholic Church in Roseville and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and Ada VFW.

Farrel is survived by three daughters, Linda Kappes, Moorhead, MN, Terry (David) Steen, Ada, MN, Tammy (David) Busselman, Lake Benton, MN, their mother, Phyllis Nirschl, Ada, MN, special friend, Madge Pickrell, Roseville, CA, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three brothers, Francis (Kathleen) Nirschl, Poland, OH, Herman Nirschl, Sumner, WA, Phillip Nirschl, Puyallup, WA, two sisters, Mary (Richard) Babler, Roosevelt, MN, and Margaret Ross, Detroit Lakes, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, granddaughter, grandson and brothers, Robert, Richard, and Anton.

Funeral service: 10:00AM Saturday, May 5, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ada.

Visitation: 5-7PM Friday, May 4, 2012, with a 7PM prayer service at the church.

Burial: Ada City Cemetery, Ada, MN
