Evelyn Gilbertson, age 84 of Ada, MN passed away suddenly on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

She was born on June 27, 1930 in Perley, MN, to Oscar and Inga (Jacobson) Kroshus. After graduating from Ada High School, she worked at the Ada City Clerk's office and JC Penny's in Ada. She spent most of her life helping her husband Jarl on the farm. Coffee and cookies were always on for the many friends and relatives that dropped by. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Ada VFW Auxiliary. In earlier years, she was a member of the Helping Hand and Social Club. She will be remembered for her good natured, fun loving personality, as well as her thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jarl Gilbertson; three brothers, Marvel, Robert, and Allen Kroshus; and three sisters, Olive Sivertson, Vivian Roesch, and Dorothy Strand. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Pavia (Gilbertson); son-in-law Glenn Pavia, grandsons Nicola Pavia and Jake Pavia all of Plymouth, MN; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Ada. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 before the Funeral.

Burial will be at the Ada cemetery.
