Evelyn M. Books

Evelyn M. Books, 75, Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Elim Care Center, Fargo, ND.

Evelyn was born August 2, 1934, the daughter of Felix and Helen (Wagner) Kappes in rural Ada, MN. She attended school in Ada.

She was united in marriage to Walter Books. To this union, two children were born, Timothy and Tonni. Evy worked for many years in the hospitality/restaurant business in the Fargo/Moorhead area. She also assisted her daughter, Tonni, with her business, TLC Plant Service in Fargo, ND. In her earlier years, Evy loved to travel across country in a semi truck with her special friend, Duke. She often wintered in Texas with her beloved sister, Bernice.

She was loved and will dearly be missed by her daughter, Tonni Books, Fargo, ND; sisters, Bernice (Bob) Machala, Austin, TX, Marjorie Boe, Blaine, MN, Verena (Carl) DeLong, Halstad, MN; brothers, Robert (Martha) Kappes, Rockdale, TX, Ronald Kappes, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Marcella Kappes, Ada, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special grand nephew, Toby Mulvihill and his father Jim Mulvihill, as well as her former husband, Walter Books, of St. Paul, MN. Evy was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Timothy, a brother, David Kappes, a niece, Joy Mulvihill, and her best friend Bobbie Hildebrand. Rest in Peace Evy

Memorial Service: 11:00 Monday, May 17, 2010, at Fredrikson Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.

Burial: Ada City Cemetery.
