Eunice A. Wang, 93, Halstad, MN, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

She was born on June 29, 1926 in Halstad, MN, as one of eleven children to Palmer and Inga (Aalgaard) Holm. Eunice married Donald Wang on November 10, 1945, and they spent nearly 75 years together. After they were married, they spent a number of years adding on to a one-room building to make a two-story house where they lived for their entire married life. In her younger years, Eunice worked at the Halstad Creamery and at the Halstad Clinic. As her children started their careers and had their own children, she became a primary caregiver for five of her grandchildren.

She had a gentle and open heart, and was always willing to help family and friends with anything they needed regardless of how hard it was. Most remember her as quiet and reserved, but to her family she was the strong matriarch that ruled the roost with just one look. With only the opportunity to complete 8th grade, she taught her children and grandchildren to read and emphasized the importance of education, ingenuity, and hard work. Eunice was an influential female role model for both her granddaughters and grandsons. She loved to play rummy and whist with family and friends (and found ways to table talk while arguing that others were cheating), watch her "stories" and Twins baseball, make cookies, lefse, and feed a full house of kids. Eunice welcomed everyone and made them feel at home.

Eunice is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Dean Wang, Chisago City, MN, and Larry (Bonnie) Wang, Amery, WI; son-in-law, Dwight Todd, Halstad, MN; grandchildren, Steven Wang, Chisago City, MN, April Todd (James Golden), Harmans, MD, Logan (Denise) Wang, Savage, MN, Erik (Robyn) Wang, Cottage Grove, MN, Ryan (Amber) Todd, Horace, ND, Derek (Becky) Todd, Halstad, MN, Ashley (Marzel) Harris, Crystal, MN, and Tess (Kenneth) Nordstrom, Braham, MN; fourteen great- grandchildren; Dylan, James, Jordan, Katie, Nellie, Ian, Ledger, Elijah, Zarah, Idella, Lake, Isla, Lincoln, and Azalea; siblings, Irene Stigen, Inez Anderson, Morris Holm, and Marlys (Harris) Selvig ; and sisters-in-law, Gladys Holm, Louise Holm, and Garnet Holm.

Eunice was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Todd; daughter-in-law, Denise Wang; twin brother, Eugene (Sylvia) Holm; siblings, Irvin Holm, Herman Holm, Myrtle (Julius) Ramstad, Kenneth (Margaret) Holm, and Wallace Holm; sister-in-law, Maxine Holm; and brothers-in-law, Walter Stigen and Wayne Anderson.
