Enrique Lopez, age 38, of Thief River Falls, MN, died on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, under the care of Hopsice and his family.

Enrique Kenneth Lopez, was born on June 28, 1983 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Kenneth Sullivan Jr. and Marilyn Lopez.  He lived his first years in the Elbow Lake Community, rural Waubun, MN. The family then moved to Dilworth, MN, and later Moorhead, MN, where he made his home for many years.  Enrique held various jobs over the years but enjoyed his time driving transport truck the most.  Enrique had faced many challenges but had turned his life over to Jesus Christ.  He had been studying scripture and aspired to be an ordained minister.  His faith was very important to him, as was his family. He cherished the special relationship he had with his dear friend, Sarah, and so many others.  He loved to hang out with friends, have a drink, and simply visit.  Enrique was often found listening to contemporary Christian Rock music, which brought him peace.  In his quiet times, he also enjoyed fishing.  After his cancer diagnosis, Enrique moved to Thief River Falls to be with his aunt and uncle.  He was lovingly supported and cared for by Anita and Ray for many months, precious time which will never be forgotten.

Enrique is survived by his father, Kenneth Jr.; his siblings: Enrico Lopez, Juan Bunker, Chris Hinojosa, Desiree Dahlke, Alex Osuna, Marilyn Ellis, Adam Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, and Bonnie Sullivan; his grandmother, Kibby Sullivan; one uncle: Ray (Anita) Lopez; aunts: Juanita Lopez, Deb Azure, Linda Azure, Barb Fabre, Susan Azure-Johnson, Julie Heisler, and Kathy Thompson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn; and three uncles: Juan, Jerry and Donho Lopez.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the Elbow Lake Community Center, Elbow Lake, MN. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the Community Center. Interment will be at Vernon Anderson Cemetery in the Spring.

Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, and CDC guidelines, social distancing will be practiced. Masks are strongly encouraged.
