Elsie Ooley, age 80, of Ada, MN, died Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Twin Valley Living Center, Twin Valley, MN.

Elsie C. Felske was born February 8, 1927, the daughter of Ernest and Clara (Poppe) Felske near Ada, Minnesota. Elsie was raised in Pleasantview Township where she attended country school. As a young lady, Elsie worked in area cafés before her marriage to Horace Ooley on March 2, 1950, in Ada. The couple made their home on the family farm in Green Meadow Township near Ada. Elsie played a very active part as she and Horace operated their farm together for many years. She continued to make her home on the farm until entering the Twin Valley Living Center in September of 2005.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Horace, of Ada, MN; a daughter, Kathleen (Perry) Skaurud of Gary, MN and three grandsons, David, Cory and Brady.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at 2:00 PM in Faith United Church, Ada, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007, from 6 PM until 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM all in the church. Visitation will also be one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Officiating will be Pastor Grant Speece with Solvig Kitchell serving as organist and Karen Bergstrom serving as vocalist. Pallbearers will be Peter Kappes, Cory Skaurud, David Skaurud, Brady Skaurud, Randy Green, Bob Johnson, Richard Gill and Corey Hanson.

Interment will be in the Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, Minnesota.
