Elsie Bernice (Muehlbeier) Olson was born January 20,1929 in Leola, SD and passed away January 1, 2025 at Clearwater Care Center in Phoenix, AZ.

The youngest daughter of Adam and Barbara Muehlbeier, Elsie was confirmed in the Lutheran faith June 21,1942. She graduated from Leola High School in 1947 and moved to Fargo, ND where she attended Dakota Business College. After graduation she worked at Northern School Supply, Smith Incorporated and Ford Tractor, all in Fargo.

Elsie married Stanley Olson July 17, 1954 at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada MN. They built their life together and raised a family in Ada, where Stan practiced law until retiring in 1986 when they moved to Fountain Hills, AZ. Stan passed away in 1988 and Elsie became a widow at age 58.

She loved living in Arizona, spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed years of bowling and golf to stay active. She remained in Fountain Hills until 2016 when she moved into assisted living in Mesa and later Phoenix.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Irene Redland, Ella Becker, Velma Albrecht, and brother Otto Muehlbeier. She is survived by her two children, Konrad (Patricia) Olson, Fargo, ND and Barbara (James) Rund, Tempe, AZ; grandchildren Megan (Justin) Walock, Fargo; Clare Olson, Fargo; Alison Rund (Garman) Justin Garman, Chandler, AZ and Kristen Rund (Bryant), Andrew Bryant of Tempe; and great grandsons Henry Walock and Eli Wilson, both of Fargo.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Elsie to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
