Elizabeth "Liz" Flores, age 33, of Waubun, MN, died Sunday, February 5, 2017, at her home.

Elizabeth Jacklyn Flores, the daughter of Anthony Warren and Darlene Jackson, was born December 11, 1983, in Detroit Lakes, MN.  She grew up in White Earth, MN, with her mom and step-dad, Patrick Flores, and attended Circle of Life School.  Liz was blessed with her first son, Derien, and as a young mother, she worked as a home health aide helping the elders.  Her family later grew with the birth of her son, Deyton.  Liz was passionate about her heritage and loved to learn about Native American traditions, even attending traditional woman's ceremonies at Grandmothers Lodge. She had recently taken part in a Historical Trauma Counseling class with Evelyn Bellanger and looked forward to learning more about the native ways.  As a member of the Turtle Clan, Liz had a great love for turtles.  In her spare time, she liked to read, fish and go on picnics with her kids and was proudly working to earn her GED Diploma.  Several years ago, Elizabeth met Adam Colgrove and together they have made a life together.  About three years ago, the family moved to Waubun.  She was family oriented and her boys were her pride and joy.  Liz was the first to take care of family business and always reached out to help those in need.  She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Derien and Dayton of Waubun; her significant other, Adam and step-son, Abe of Frazee, MN; her mother, Darlene of Waubun; her father, Tony of Ogema; brother, Charles "Chiefy" of White Earth; half-sister, Jade (Roger Jackson) of Chaska; nephew, Roger, and her paternal grandpa, Lyle of Ogema; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her step-dad, Patrick Flores; grandparents, Peter and Charlotte Jackson; grandma, Wallis "Wally Ann" Warren; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will take place at the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Mahnomen from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.  A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the White Earth Community Center in White Earth, MN.
