Elizabeth "Liz" Read
January 16, 1927 ~ November 13, 2012

Elizabeth (Forystek) Read, 85, Ada, MN, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at her home. She was born January 16, 1927, to Frank and Victoria (Szymanska) Forystek at Brooklyn Center Village, Hennepin County, MN. After becoming a waitress in Florida, she met and married Edwin O. Read on August 5, 1950, in Hennepin County, MN. They made their home in and around the Annandale and Clearwater area, raising 6 children. She also worked at the Buffalo (MN) Nursing Home. She was widowed on November 20, 1977.

On August 10, 1981, she married Maurice J. Brommenschenkel at the Buffalo Catholic Church, Wright County, MN. They made their home in Ada, MN. They remained married until Morries health issues forced them to divorce in 1996, but remained together until she was again widowed on February 6, 2007. She continued to live in Ada, MN, attending church every Sunday, Bible Study, sewing, doing crossword puzzles, taking trips on the bus with friends to Fargo and Moorhead to shop. She enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, talking to friends and family on the phone and the long chats they had, the company and care her neighbors gave her. She also enjoyed her Hershey's Kisses and Peppermint Candies, as Christmas was her favorite time of year.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon Saltus, Camanchee, OK, Brenda Klaustermeier, Winthrop, MN, Susan Read, Tulsa, OK, 1 daughter-in-law, Jean Read, Darwin, MN, 1 son, Daniel Read, Willmar, MN, 6 grandchildren, Shawn Read and special friend Jamie, Prior Lake, MN, Chad (Jessica) Klaustermeier, Norwood Young America, MN, Kayla Saltus, Camanchee, OK, Jamie Klaustermeier, Lester Prairie, MN, Jackie (Jason) Snabb, Litchfield, MN, Jennifer (Kent) Welte, Litchfield, MN, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Kathryn "Katy" Adamek, Lonsdale, MN, Katy was 90 years old on November 13, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Stanley, Frances, Ed, Florence, Marion, and Martha, her husbands, Edwin and Maurice, sons, Randy (infant twin), Michael A. Read and Edwin S. Read, daughter, Sheila (infant twin), grandson, Jeremiah James (JJ) Read.

Saturday, December 1, 2012: Visitation 9:30-10:30am, Mass of Christian Burial St. John's Catholic Church, Darwin, MN, at 10:30am with interment following in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Darwin, MN.
