Obituary

Eleaner D. Klevgaard, 97, Felton, MN, died Monday, July 27, 2015, at Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN.

Eleaner Dorothy Larson was born on August 3, 1917, in Ada, MN, the daughter of Edwin and Anna (Wolpers) Larson. She had one sister, Lilah and two brothers, Mervin and Verlin. She attended school in Felton until she started working in the Felton and Borup area.

On March 9, 1940, she married Rudolph Klevgaard at the Borup church parsonage. They farmed for many years in the Felton area. Rudolph passed away in 1978. She had a great sense of humor and loved to play jokes on friends and family. She was a great cook and always had a pot of coffee on. She was famous for her homemade bread. If she had left over potatoes, she would make lefsa, and also made great potato dumplings. She also had a big garden and did a lot of canning. She also enjoyed raising chickens and watching birds. Eleaner enjoyed the Felton Senior Center and quilted every Wednesday.

Eleaner is survived by a daughter, Elaine Sipe, Moorhead, MN, five sons, Arlin (Sharon), Ulen, Paul (Deb) Felton, John (Suzi) Felton, Mark (Geralyn) Hawley, MN, and Luke (Marita) Two Harbors, MN, 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, two brothers, two sons, Ole and Reuben, and one daughter, Carol Ibach.

Funeral: 11:00AM Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Jevnaker Lutheran Church, rural Borup, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the funeral at the church.

Burial: Jevnaker Cemetery, rural Borup, MN, followed by lunch at the Felton Community Center.
