Watch Elaine's Funeral Mass

Elaine Noll, age 79, of Mahnomen, MN, died Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home, Mahnomen MN.

Elaine Joyce was born May 30, 1941, the youngest child of Albert and Mary (Haberman) Noll.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Mahnomen.  Growing up, Elaine attended school at Mahnomen Elementary and graduated with the Class of 1960 from Mahnomen High School.  After high school, Elaine lived at home with her parents and when her father died, she became the sole caregiver for her mom, Mary.  Upon Mary's death, she remained on the farm and worked at the DAC for a few years.  Later, Elaine moved to the Twin Valley Living Center where she made her home for several years before moving to the Mahnomen Health Center.

Some of Elaine's favorite past times including painting pictures and more recently coloring pictures.  She enjoyed all the activities the nursing home had to offer.   Although somewhat reserved, Elaine liked to be where the action was and would often partake in conversations and various activities.  She loved going on trips to Bergeson Nursery, shopping trips, playing Bingo and singing.  Elaine also loved her family and would often reminisce of past times and always enjoyed a visit from family.  She will be greatly missed by many.

Elaine is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Marty (Darlene) Noll of St. Louis Park, MN; sister-in-law, Peggy Noll of Mahnomen; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Ervin (Arlene) Noll and brother, Richard Noll; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys (Bob) Chisholm; a niece, Madonna; two nephews, Dan Chisholm and Jerry Chisholm.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Mahnomen, MN.  Visitation will take place one-hour prior to the service at the church.  Following all safety protocols due to COVID-19 restrictions, St. Michael's Church is now able to seat up to 80 individuals for the celebration of Mass.   All must wear a mask to participate at a public Mass at St. Michael's Church.
