Elaine M. (Snustad) Kolle, 90, beloved wife and mother, Fargo, ND, formerly of Hendrum and Halstad, MN, was called to her eternal resting place on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

She entered this world on June 3, 1930 in Breckenridge, MN, born to Karl W. and Gladys (Pierce) Erdmann.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Baptist Church, and graduated from Breckenridge High School and ND State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

Elaine and George Snustad were united in marriage on April 8, 1951. They were blessed with five children, with the last one being mom's favorite! :) They farmed north of Hendrum, MN until the early 1980's when they retired from farming and moved to Halstad, MN. Elaine worked at Norman County West School for 27 years as the Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper. When she wasn't working at the school, she could be found weeding her abundant garden or preserving the vegetables she grew. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Hendrum. George passed away suddenly on February 17, 1985.

Elaine married Arthur M. Kolle of Fargo, ND on November 29, 1986. Elaine retired in the mid 1990's, at which time Elaine and Art traveled and spent a few winters in Orange Beach, Alabama. They bought a house in Grand Island, Florida in 2001 and lived there until they moved to Fargo, ND in 2018. Elaine and Art were currently members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Fargo. Elaine and Art developed Kol-E-Crafts for their joint knitting, woodworking and photography hobbies, and exhibited at several craft fairs. Elaine was known for making many treasured knitted afghans, sweaters, and other momentos throughout the years for special family occasions. In her younger years, she was remembered for knitted slippers for all the children every Christmas.

She is survived by her spouse, Arthur M. Kolle; son, James (Charlene) Snustad, Neche, ND; daughter, Jacque (Jeff) Radke, Twin Valley, MN; son, Jay (Gail) Snustad, Bismarck, ND; daughter, Sheryl (Paul) Schreiber, Warroad, MN; and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Kostka, Brooklyn Park, MN; brother, William K. (Beth) Erdmann, Dallas, TX, sister-in-law, Grace Bull, Lodi, CA; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding her in death is her first husband, George L. Snustad; son, Marcus K. Snustad; parents, Karl W. and Gladys Erdmann; and brother, Kenneth Erdmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, 321 Main Street East, Hendrum, MN.

Funeral: 2:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hendrum, MN, following all of the Minnesota and CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. All must wear a mask to attend.

Visitation: One hour before the funeral at the church.

Interment: Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hendrum, MN
