Elaine Hanson, 69, Ada, MN, passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Essential Health in Fargo, ND.

Elaine Louise was born on October 6, 1953, the daughter of Herman and Gertrude (Redlinger) Gerber, in Bismarck, ND. She moved with family to Carrington, ND, followed by a move to Ada, 1970. She graduated from Ada High School in 1971. This is where she met the love of her life, Jim Hanson. They were married on September 17, 1972 and spent over 50 years together.

Elaine spent most of her life raising their five children, a job she loved doing. Later after the kids got older, she worked at Bob's Café and Bridges Medical Center Hospital, until she retired.

Together Elaine and Jim, raised their five children: Jeremy (Sam) Hanson Willis, Minneapolis, MN, Jamie (Cindy) Hanson, Fargo, ND, Jodi (Lee) Sargent, Ada, Joshua Hanson, Thief River Falls, MN, and Jesse Hanson of Ada.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Jim, one daughter, four sons, 10 grandchildren: Jordan, Ethan, Caleb, Blade, Raegan, Lacy, Dahlia, Joey, Abby, and Ashlyn, one sister, Carol, three brothers, Vern, Ron, and Larry, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Vivian, one brother, Kenneth and a sister-in-law, Jean.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.

Inurnment: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
