Duwayne O. Larson, 85, Ada, MN, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Benedictine Care Community in Ada.

On August 9, 1938, Duwayne Larson entered this world bringing with him the promise of a life well-lived. Born in the heart of the Minnesota countryside, Duwayne's roots were firmly planted in the soil, and his hands would soon learn the rhythm of the seasons.

As the son of Orval and Bernice Larson, Duwayne grew up tending to the family farm near Ada. He graduated from Ada High School and then entered the United States Army with an honorable discharge in 1968. His days were filled with hard work, calloused hands, and a deep love for the land. But beyond the fields, Duwayne cultivated connections – with neighbors, friends, and the community.

Duwayne is survived by his niece, Kim (James) Foss; nephew, Tony (Camilla) Larson; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends made over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Bernice; brother, Dale Larson; and nephew, Rick Larson.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church, Ada, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the funeral at the church.

Interment with full military rites: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
