Duriel John
Jackson
Aug 24, 1985 — Mar 21, 2026
Fargo
Duriel John Jackson, age 40, of Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at his home.
Duriel John Jackson the son of Sharon Jackson and Darrel Bellanger was born in Detroit Lakes, MN, on August 24, 1985. His youth was spent growing up around family in the White Earth, MN, area. As a teen, John moved with his mom to the Twin Cities, where he attended high school. Following his schooling, he entered the workforce. John worked as a drywaller both in the metro and when he moved back to the White Earth Reservation. After his mom's death in 2013, Duriel went through some trials and tribulations, but he carried on and made choices his mom would've been proud of. Duriel owned and operated his own Drywall Company and over the past 15+ years, he has been a union member of the Carpenter's Local 1176 and continued to work both on his own and with Joe Zima. John met Iris Giard in 2018 and six years ago they were blessed with a son, John Duriel Jackson. They have made their home together in Fargo since that time.
John's personality was one of a sweet, caring nature who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was loveable, funny and outgoing, most times meeting as strangers but parting as friends. Duriel's family was important to him, and he loved spending time with family, especially his one and only son, John Duriel. He loved him more than anything. Although gone far too soon from this life, he will live on in the hearts of many.
Duriel is survived by a son, John Duriel Jackson; his significant other, Iris, both of Fargo; his father, Darrel (Delia) Bellanger of Waubun; brothers: Richard (Juanita Lopez) of Callaway, MN, Shawn (Jardy) Jackson of Fargo, ND, Dustin Jackson of White Earth, MN, and Brent Smith Jr. of Waubun; sisters: Brandi Wichern of Ogema, MN, Victoria Wichern of Minneapolis, MN, Jenni Wichern of Mahnomen, and Whitney Smith of Bemidji, MN; several nieces and nephews including Isabella and William Jackson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mom, Sharon Jackson; sister, Londa Wichern; uncles, Calvin Jackson Sr. and Terrance Jackson; and an aunt, Debbie Jackson.
Blessed be the memory of Duriel John Jackson.
