Doris Marie Boeddeker, 91, of Halstad, MN, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Halstad Living Center, Halstad. She was born on February 6, 1921, to Anton and Clara (Gilbertson) Orvik at Gardner, ND. Doris attended the Halstad Public School graduating in 1939.
On October 27, 1940, Doris was united in marriage to Cletus Boeddeker at St. Rose Lima Catholic in Hillsboro, ND. They moved to California when Cletus entered the military during WWII. After Cletus went overseas, Doris and Tim moved back to Minnesota in 1943. Over the years, Doris raised her family and worked several part time jobs in the area. Cletus died in 1995, and on November 17, 2011, Doris entered the Halstad Living Center.
Doris was an active member of Halstad Lutheran Church, Halstad. Decorating cakes, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo and needle point kept her busy. Doris' most joyful times were visiting with family and friends.
Doris is survived by two sons: Tim (Mary Lou), Elbow Lake, MN, and Tony (Cindy), Hunter, ND; five grandchildren: Brian Boeddeker, Heath Boeddeker, and Samantha (Darin) Olson, Andy and Kyle (Alex); nine great-grandchildren: Megan, Jake, William, Cheyenne, Violet and Juliet all Boeddekers, and Ashlynn, Austin, Aric all Olsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons: William and Robert; one grandson, William Boeddeker, one granddaughter-in-law, Pam Boeddeker, three sister: infant Florence Orvik, Wilma Blasé, and Alice Boeddeker, two brothers: Robert Orvik and Kenny Orvik.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 24th 2012, at 11:00am in the Fredrikson Valley Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm at the Fredrikson Valley Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Burial will be Marsh River, Shelly, MN.
