Donald Olson, age 76, of Twin Valley, died on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Bridges Care Community in Ada, MN.

Donald Richard Olson was born March 15, 1943, the son of Kenneth and Helen (Killingstad) Olson in Detroit Lakes, MN. Donald was raised in the Halstad, MN community and in 1955, moved with his family to a farm east of Twin Valley, MN.  Don attended school in Twin Valley and as a young man enjoyed farming with his father.  In 1963, Don entered the United States Army and proudly served his country in Korea. After his honorable discharge in 1964, Don returned to the Twin Valley community where he continued farming with his father, Kenneth, and his brother, Ronald. Donald enjoyed working in the fields, driving truck, and hunting. Donald was a great son, brother, uncle, and friend. Since 2015, he has made his home at Bridges Care Community.

Donald is survived by his sister, Barbara Roper of Grapevine, TX; two nephews, Jeff and Joel Cook, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Helen; and his brother, Ronald Olson.
