Donald Stanton Kvamme, age 88, of Twin Valley, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Donald was born on October 4, 1937, in Gary, MN, to Alfred and Olga (Benson) Kvamme. He was raised in Gary, where he also attended school. As a young man, he farmed alongside his family and began working in construction as a skilled carpenter. Over the years, his work led him to a variety of projects in the Twin Cities, Warroad, Fargo, and even to a power plant in Illinois. In later years, he was employed as a custodian at the former Lutheran Memorial Nursing Home in Twin Valley.

On August 7, 1971, Don was united in marriage to Janet Pauer in Ada, MN. Together, they made their home in the Gary and Twin Valley area, where they built a life centered on hard work and farming. They operated a farm south of Gary, where Don took pride in raising cattle and caring for the land.

Don found great satisfaction in working with his hands, whether building, fixing, or tending to daily tasks. He especially enjoyed caring for his cattle and valued the peace and solitude of time spent on his own.

Don is survived by his wife, Janet of Twin Valley; son, Christopher of Crookston, MN; and sister, Donna Wasfaret of Bemidji, MN.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 5th at 2:00PM, with a visitation one hour prior, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, Twin Valley. Burial will be at the Gary Lutheran Cemetery, Gary.
