Donald Knopfler, age 60, of Ulen, MN, died on Monday, July 6, 2026, at his home.

Don was born on November 12, 1965 to Roger and Linda (Wang) Knopfler.  He attended school in Ulen and grew up on the family farmstead just north of town.

Don's hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing, going for drives with his dog Alco, tinkering and listening to classic rock while having a beer. He enjoyed being by the lake and spending his free time outdoors.

He was a talented mechanic and fabricator and seemed to always find a solution for any mechanical problems.  He will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind laugh and independent personality.

Don is survived by his two children:  Danielle (Anthony Toczek) Knopfler and Casey (Mariah) Fevig, as well as his grandchildren: Warren Donald and Isla Fevig.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Linda Knopfler; his uncle Verne Knopfler; his dog Alco; and several extended family members.

Per Knuffy's wishes, no funeral service will take place.  A gathering of friends and family will be scheduled at a later date.
